They That wait,,,

"Go on waiting calmly, my brothers, till the coming of the Lord, like the farmer waiting for the good fruit of the earth till the early and late rains have come." James 5;7

A husband and wife walk into a crowded restaurant on a busy Saturday night. As they approach and make it thru the main foyer they are greeted by a hostess whom asks them there name and the number of people in their party. The husband says 'Jones' and it will be two of us; he continues to say 'tonight is our anniversary and this is my wife's favorite place to eat'. A few minutes go by and the crowd in the waiting area begins to thicken as more and more couples and families arrive. Moments later the hostess calls back a couple that arrived awhile after the husband and wife. The wife asked her husband did you see that. I could have sworn that we were here before them. About ten minutes later the hostess returns assuring them that it won't be much longer before they are seated, but in the process she calls another party of two back that and had arrived at the restaurant after them as well. Now the wife is extremely bothered by this and once again ask the husband did he noticed. Not wanting to add fuel to the fire he kind of shrugs it off and tells his wife this is our night so let's not let anything get to us or upset us. "I am waiting for the Lord, my soul is waiting for Him, and my hope is in His Word." Psalms 130:5

Finally, and just before the wife is about to explode the hostess comes to seat them. The wife tells her it's about time, because I know we were here before those other people; I didn't think we would ever get seated. As they are walking to be seated they look and see the first couple that was seated before them. They were sitting in a table for two next to the kitchen area which seemed to be rather loud and annoying. Remember this was a very busy night so you can imagine the traffic coming in and out of that area from the waiters and staff. As they proceeded to make their way through the dining area they spotted the other couple that was called before them. The lady was looking uncomfortable as she briskly rubbed her arms up and down in an attempt to warm herself. Her and her husband had been seated by a window, and the chill from the glass and outside elements seemed to be taking a toll on them and the seats they were in. "When I was waiting quietly for the Lord, His heart was turned to me, and He gave ear to my cry." Psalms 40:1

Finally they made it to their table. It was in a nice cozy area of the restaurant. It was warm, away from the loudness of the bar and waiting area, not close to the kitchen and defiantly not by the cold window. As the hostess handed them their menus she apologized, explaining that they did not get seated as soon as she would have liked, because she was waiting to prepare a special place for them. 'A special place where they could enjoy the night but also have a little privacy. They wife had to laugh 'feeling a tad bit foolish' in a way at how her impatience almost caused her to miss out on a grand evening or how looking at others being called to the front line before her doesn't not always mean you are being skipped over or being placed last. Sometimes it means where you're going takes more preparation.

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future

I Have Never Seen the Righteous Forsaken

He Will Not Forsake His Saints

 [1] Of David.

37:1 Fret not yourself because of evildoers;
be not envious of wrongdoers!
2 For they will soon fade like the grass
and wither like the green herb.

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. [2]
4 Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday.

7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices!

8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!
Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.
9 For the evildoers shall be cut off,
but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

10 In just a little while, the wicked will be no more;
though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there.
11 But the meek shall inherit the land
and delight themselves in abundant peace.

12 The wicked plots against the righteous
and gnashes his teeth at him,
13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he sees that his day is coming.

14 The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows
to bring down the poor and needy,
to slay those whose way is upright;
15 their sword shall enter their own heart,
and their bows shall be broken.

16 Better is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous.

18 The Lord knows the days of the blameless,
and their heritage will remain forever;
19 they are not put to shame in evil times;
in the days of famine they have abundance.

20 But the wicked will perish;
the enemies of the Lord are like the glory of the pastures;
they vanish—like smoke they vanish away.

21 The wicked borrows but does not pay back,
but the righteous is generous and gives;
22 for those blessed by the Lord [3] shall inherit the land,
but those cursed by him shall be cut off.

23 The steps of a man are established by the Lord,
when he delights in his way;
24 though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong,
for the Lord upholds his hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old,
yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
or his children begging for bread.
26 He is ever lending generously,
and his children become a blessing.

27 Turn away from evil and do good;
so shall you dwell forever.
28 For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land
and dwell upon it forever.

30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom,
and his tongue speaks justice.
31 The law of his God is in his heart;
his steps do not slip.

32 The wicked watches for the righteous
and seeks to put him to death.
33 The Lord will not abandon him to his power
or let him be condemned when he is brought to trial.

34 Wait for the Lord and keep his way,
and he will exalt you to inherit the land;
you will look on when the wicked are cut off.

35 I have seen a wicked, ruthless man,
spreading himself like a green laurel tree. [4]
36 But he passed away, [5] and behold, he was no more;
though I sought him, he could not be found.

37 Mark the blameless and behold the upright,
for there is a future for the man of peace.
38 But transgressors shall be altogether destroyed;
the future of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
he is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
40 The Lord helps them and delivers them;
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.

WORDS of WISDOM

When 'Helping' Is Hurting
Whoever says to the guilty, 'You are innocent,' others will curse... (Proverbs 24:24 NIV)
Ever lied to protect the reputation of someone you love? Or covered up for them? Or rushed in to 'help' without being asked? We're not talking about acts of compassion where help is genuinely needed, we're talking about 'enabling,' which is a destructive kind of helping. It's natural to want to protect a loved one from the painful consequences of their actions. But by letting them off the hook you end up feeling angry and victimized because you did something you didn't want to do; something that wasn't your responsibility.
The Bible says it's a mistake to say to the guilty, 'You are innocent.' By continually rescuing them you lengthen the valley they must go through in order to come out whole on the other side. Paul said, '… Wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?' (Romans 7:24 NIV). Sometimes people have to reach the 'wretched' stage before they acknowledge their need, just like the prodigal hit bottom before he got serious about his sin problem. And his father let it happen. It's called tough love for a reason! 'When [the prodigal son] came to his senses, he said '…here I am starving to death! I will… go back to my father and say… I have sinned''' (Luke 15:17-18 NIV). By crossing the line between caring and caretaking, you hurt the person you're trying to help by implying they can't handle the truth or learn their lesson. So back off, and place your loved one into God's hands. He loves them even more than you do. (~The Vine, Bob Gass)

What's Your Dream? (Part 1)
He dreamed still another dream... (Genesis 37:9 NKJV)
When it comes to dreams, Joseph teaches us two important principles:
1) Keep your dream alive! The story's told of a couple who loved mushrooms and bought several pounds of them from a roadside vendor. They made mushroom omelettes, mushroom salad, mushroom soup, and even concocted a mushroom dessert. Their cat gobbled up the leftover mushrooms. Later the lady went into her kitchen and found the cat lying on the floor, gasping for breath. She immediately phoned the vet who said they'd probably gotten some poisoned toadstools and advised they go to the hospital. After having their stomachs pumped the couple came home expecting to see their cat lying lifeless on the floor. Instead the cat was in the corner with a brand new litter of kittens. What they thought were death pains were just birth pains! When it seems that your dream is gasping its last breath, keep believing God; you're closer to giving birth than you've ever been.
2) Dream again, only bigger! Joseph dreamed a second dream, an even bigger one! '"… This time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me…' (Genesis 37:9 NKJV). If you've abandoned your dream because of discouragement, rise up and reclaim it. If you've already fulfilled it, ask God for a bigger one. You say, 'But the challenge looks too big for me.' It's not too big for God, you'll never out-dream Him. In His Word He asks, 'Is anything too hard for the Lord?…' (Genesis 18:14). You may die with your dream on the drawing board or under construction or left to be completed by another, but you must seek God and dream again! (~The Vine, Bob Gass)

What's Your Dream? (Part 2)
The butler and the baker of the king... had a dream... (Genesis 40:5 NKJV)
When you have a dream:
1) You must cultivate the companionship of other dreamers. By interpreting the dreams of the butler and the baker, Joseph was introduced to Pharaoh, who also had a dream, one that changed Joseph's life. So build relationships with people who also have a dream, who strengthen your faith and shape you into the right person. '… Iron sharpens iron… so a man sharpens… his friend' (Proverbs 27:17 NKJV).
2) You must be both forgetful and fruitful. Your willingness to forgive and forget sets you free from the past; your willingness to try something new opens the door to the future. '…Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,' (Philippians 3:13 NKJV). 'Forgetting' and 'reaching' call for sequential action: forget, then reach! What you refuse to get over, you'll live under. What you refuse to forget, you'll drag like a ball and chain through life. 'But I've tried to forget and I can't.' God will help you! 'Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: 'For God has made me forget all my toil and all my father's house.' And the name of the second he called Ephraim: '…For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction,' (Genesis 41:51-52 NKJV). Note the words 'God has caused.' God can help you to get over it and move on. 'Does that mean I won't be able to recall the event?' No, that's amnesia. It means you won't want to recall it. God will give you the ability to reframe it, glean wisdom, and become successful because of it. (~The Vine, Bob Gass)

WHO’s Bad

I surely want everyday I live to be B. A. D.

While shopping   at a local Wal-Mart, a woman spotted a man with an acronym on his shirt that had
B.A.D.  Being the person that she was (curious), she stopped the man and asked, "What does
B.A.D. Stand for?"   And trust me; you'll be amazed at what his response was. He replied
B.A.D. stands for: "Blessed And Delivered".   That thought stuck with her as she finished doing her shopping that day. So she came up with a little advice for you today.

1. When the enemy tries to attack you, be
B.A.D.
2.. When things don't seem to be going right on your job, be
B.A.D.
3. When things are not looking good in your marriage, be
B.A.D.
4. When folks scandalize your name, just be
B.A.D.

Get with somebody who you know that you can be
B.A.D. With!!!

May God Bless You And Have A
B.A.D.  Day!

Any person that can kneel before God can stand before anything.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU SHARED THIS WITH PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU WANT TO HAVE A B. A. D. DAY!!!!

WELL, WELL, WELL

Matthew 25:14-30 (New International Version)

The Parable of the Talents

 23"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant!

Well done my good and faithful servant is one of those bible verses that have always stood out to me.

As a silly kid always joking around and getting a laugh out of everything, I can remember when I first heard that verse. The first thing came to my mind was STEAK.

I was thinking why make a bible verse just to show us how the Lord likes his steak. Then my smile turned to a frown when I was told no

It's not steak that he wants well done. IT'S HIS SERVANTS. I was baffled,,, thinking He wants us well done,,& this is the same God that took

Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego from the fiery furnace!!! LOL

After reading the Parable of the Talents and some pondering on the word I came to the conclusion that he really does want us well done. Not well done in a sense of being cook but he wants our inner works and thoughts to reflect what our outer appearance shows.

I did a little cooking at a sports bar as a younger man and one of our specialities was steak. I knew absolutely nothing about steak at the time other than how to eat it with some rice gravy and cornbread. But, after a few disgruntled customers and a talk in the back office I got it together real fast. One thing I quickly learned is that a steak can look nice and ready on the outside but you cut into it and find that it is no more cooked than when it came out of the package. The only thing now is it has a little seasoning. HMMMM! This reminds me of some Christians today. We have to examine ourselves and ask AM I seasoned or sure.

You see at the sports bar I found that everyone likes his or her steak cooked a certain way, but the father we serve specified, well done.

When the Lord looks at our life and examines use from inside out what will he find?

Seasoned or Sure; Just like meat when its cooked can easily give a cooked appearance depending on the temperature its being cooked at and the seasoning.

Most times its not until it is really cut or bite into you can actually tell if its done.

You see its very easy to talk the Christian talk and walk the Christian walk but when the doors are closed lights are off and bible is put down are you still well done or just medium rare.

You know brown on the outside hot and red on the inside but red and pink in the center. Even though medium rare is almost medium well and medium well is almost well done

It's still just almost, and it was specified WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT when the order was placed.

Matthew 25:14-30 (New International Version)

The Parable of the Talents

 14"Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. 15To one he gave five talents[a] of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. 17So also, the one with the two talents gained two more. 18But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.

 19"After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.'

 21"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

 22"The man with the two talents also came. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.'

 23"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

 24"Then the man who had received the one talent came. 'Master,' he said, 'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'

 26"His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

 28" 'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. 29For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 30And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

Just like the three men in the parable. Its not what you have been giving that matters but what but what you do with it that counts.

In the end when the Lord opens the book of life we want him to be able to say WELL Done my good and faithful servant. Through thick and thin you have served me and followed my commandments.

No X-ray machine or MRI can look and see what our father sees. A surgeon can cut as deep was they want but only our Father in heaven can Look and say well done.

The Perfect Storm

Matthew 8:23-27 (New International Version)

Jesus Calms the Storm

 23Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"

 26He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

 27The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!"

The Lord says if I call will you answer?

If I say Move will you move?

When I say stand will you stand?

One clear blue sunny day a vessel sets out on a charted journey. The crew has all supplies needed for the trip onboard. The weather has been verified and it looks like smooth sailing. As the ship gets a few miles out, the bright blue sunny sky begins to look cloudy and grey. Soon those grey skies are echoed by the sounds of thunder and with the sun hidden the only light that can be seen is the continuous stretch of lighting that illuminates the sky. It appears that the plans of the captain and crew may be slightly altered by an unexpected storm. Pretty soon the crew begins to worry and get a little tense asking the captain if he thinks they should turn around and head back. The captain ask the crew member if he has double checked to make sure they have everything they need in case the weather gets more intense. With a strange look, the crew member answers yes but still wondering why the captain has not answered him about turning back and seems to be dead set on continuing this journey.

Filled with fear and anger the crew member goes to his cabin on board and pulls out a small transmitter radio, desperate to get a signal he tries over and over but he cannot hear anyone and it appears no one can hear him. He runs back up on the deck too access the weather only to see that the waves are bigger the storm has grown stronger and it feels as if the boat will capsize at any moment. Every emotion in his body seemed to rush to his head as he stormed back up to where the captain was, asking him what is your problem? Can you not see what you are leading us into? Have you not taking the time to see that this storm can kill us and wipe this boat off the map! Once again the Captain replied 'have you checked to make sure we have all we need. Filled with anger, fury and fear the young crew member began to cry. With compassion and love the Captain let go of the wheel and wrapped his arms around the young man. He asked him, who am I?

Eyes filled with tears the young man gazed up and said what do you mean? Once again the Captain asked who am I? The crew member said you are the captain. The Captain asked how long have I been in charge of this vessel. The young man said well as long as I can remember. The captain asked him,,, is this the first storm I have guided you through a storm or a rough patch? Taking a deep breath and catching his composure the young man said no captain we have been though many storms together. Being as I am the captain of this vessel and everything on it including you is my responsibility, do you think I would lead you into a storm or on a path not knowing how get to our destination in one piece?

You see son before we left you had it all planed out. The weather was nice, water was calm and everything was fine. But I knew about this small rough spot that we would hit. But because I knew we could make it I decided not to go around it but rather through it. It would have been easy for me to re-alter the route but sometimes I just have to see what my crew is made of. I had to see if you trust me and my judgement enough to stand your ground hold up the fort and let me do my job, I mean I am the captain right?

Just as the captain finished his statement the sun began to shine rain ceased and waters laid flat. The young man began to cry again feeling foolish for doubting his father who was also his Captain. The Captain told him it was alright and he was not upset at him for his emotion getting the best of him but he wanted him to be mindful that he only has the best interest for him and just wanted him to trust his judgement in the rocky times as well as the good.

Just as the Captain in the story we have a Captain in our lives that we have to trust no matter how big the storm may be. No matter what the situation looks like we have to be mindful that he knows what's best for use even when it doesn't seem to make sense. Our father in Heaven loves us. He created us in his own image. So if you really and truly trust him why would you doubt that he would give you a promise only to destroy you. People of God we really have to learn to TRUST STAND Have Faith & Believe.

Trust In His WORD

Stand On His Promises

Have Faith and be unmoved

Believe that he will because he can

THERE is no Such Thing as a Perfect Storm Only a Perfect GOD

Facing the Giants

1 Samuel 17:4-38 (New International Version)
4 A champion named Goliath who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. He was over nine feet [a] tall. 5 He had a bronze helmet on his head and wore a coat of scale armor of bronze weighing five thousand shekels [b] ; 6 on his legs he wore bronze greaves, and a bronze javelin was slung on his back. 7 His spear shaft was like a weaver's rod, and its iron point weighed six hundred shekels. [c] His shield bearer went ahead of him.
It’s funny that even now in our lives we come face to face with GIANTS. For some of us this occurs on a daily basis. How we stand up to these giants is key!

Ask yourself how exactly do I face the GIANTS in my life……..
Sometimes things in life can simply just tower us, beat us down, and bully our spirit Just as the Giant did in the passage.

Example: When situations arise in life that bully the faith that we have and make us second guess the promises of God. Situations look way bigger than they are.
When I searched the word Giants I found a few different definitions for Giant but the one that stood out the most for me was ... a giant is a mythical figure of superhuman size and strength…..When we break down the word mythical we get the word MYTH which is fiction, fantasy, or tall-tale. Which means when we come face to face with giants in our life they should be merely mythical as well. My father in the faith has thought us that “Truth will change Fact” meaning: Yes: my bills don’t look like they will be met this month and my faith is being challenge, but I will not let the fact that I see my account compared to my bills lead me to believe there is no way out & waver my faith. I will not let this giant in my life bully me. Because I have access to THE way out and to him what I see has nothing to do with the power he can perform on my behalf, as long as I trust in him and keep my faith in him. He has the power to make what is wrong right and what we are facing crumble before our feet.
Back to passage…..

8 Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, "Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not the servants of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me. 9 If he is able to fight and kill me, we will become your subjects; but if I overcome him and kill him, you will become our subjects and serve us." 10 Then the Philistine said, "This day I defy the ranks of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other." 11 On hearing the Philistine's words, Saul and all the Israelites were dismayed and terrified.
When the enemy calls you to the frontline what will you do? Do you stand your ground or about face & flee? “FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH” All fights we face are not & defiantly don’t have to be carried out in the physical. On a Christian level it is a Spiritual fight we face. ARE you prepared?

“ Often times we have watched a fight from the side line, explaining how & what we would do if that had been us, but when get in a fight of our own we get weak, tired, weary ,fearful and full of doubt. Do not be moved by the size of your enemy. Do not let him catch you off guard and if happens to and sweeps you off your feet, get back up dust yourself off and go back at it with him. Remember the word MYTH and the GIANTS? Yeah most problems are just all talk and if we feed in to it then we are already defeated before a punch is even thrown.
We have to be powerful Christians not Powerless Christians:
Even though the Word of God says that: "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power..." [2Tm:1:7] - Most Christians are ignorant of this - and of those that do recognize the truth of this - most haven't any idea HOW to access or use the power.

Consequently the are unable to gain the victory over debt - disease - depression - divorce - addictions - lack - pain - oppression - sickness or any of the other devices that the devil throws their way. AKA GIANTS
Keys to Facing the Giants-
1. Can’t be Fearful but be Fearless…… afraid often suggests weakness or cowardice and regularly implies inhibition of action or utterance
No matter what the situation looks like, the pain it has bought or is trying to bring, the strife or grieve you are feeling, u have to stand fearless and look it in the eye declaring 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”
Isaiah 41:10 (New International Version)
10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Psalm 56:11 (New International Version)
11 in God I trust; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?

So don’t be fearful be brave
1. Speak up-I was studying bullies and how to deal with them. And in some cases if not most you can get a bully to back down by simply speaking up. Standing up for yourself letting him or her know that you are not going to take it anymore. For us Christian we have to speak life over our situations. When we are mad at someone or somebody and they push the right buttons we can get real loud and out of line, but when ol Satan comes with his tricks and games we get quiet. We forget the power and might we walk in and what God we serve and who is on our side. Sometimes we sit and won’t say a thing while he terrorizes our life. It’s like he holds us hostage while he goes and digs thru our property,,,,,[2Cor:2:14] Now thanks be unto God, which ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ..." like the song says,,,sometimes all we have to do is simply SAY the Name, ’JESUS’, we have to stop letting the enemy hold us hostage, we have the power…..

2. Have faith in a faithful God
Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
Matthew 17:20 (New International Version)
20He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you
With that being said, if we can move the mountian, why cant we move depression, lack, bitterness, stirife or any other GIANT out the way!!!
Romans 1:17 (New International Version)
17For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[a] just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith.
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance ------ steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., esp. in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.
Theology. continuance in a state of grace to the end, leading to eternal salvation.

3. Last but not least, in order to take down a giant we have to brandish our weapons,,,we Christians have a right to bear arms but yet we conceal our weapons like its illegal,,,
We walk around with the word hidden. We only pray in private or at night before bed. We sing and Praise on Saturday at practice, Sunday at church or in the shower. But, when we get sneak attacked we wonder how it happened.
I don’t know about anyone here but I would not dare run up on anyone with a cocked and loaded weapon that was visible ….now if I don’t know u are packing then it might be a different story. But because we hide our power and the power that we walk in, it makes it very difficult to use it once the enemy has attacked.
Think about it, if I have been watching you & planning my attack, as the enemy does all the time, and I see u haven’t pulled your weapon out to clean it make sure it’s working right or even pop off a few shots and I know u keep it in your night stand or cd player in the car or maybe you stash your weapon at the church house and can only get to it on Sundays, when I attack how easy would it be for you to get to it????????

But if we stay suited in the armour all the time then the enemy will never have a chance to catch us off guard. That doesn’t mean he won’t attack because he still will try to penetrate our armour somehow but it won’t be as easy. We have to walk around like the people in the army. Lol, I use to get mad and say man they don’t have to wear that dang suit everywhere they just showing off,,,,,,but even so, with that showing off I know they have been thru some form of training and have some type of combat skill so really they just letting u know don’t mess with them. Sorta like saying Hey this is who I roll with and what I represent, lol.

Ephesians 6:11-13 (New International Version)
11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Luke 10:19 (New International Version)
19I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you

RESTING ON HIS PROMISE!!!!!

Isaiah 31

Woe to Those Who Rely on Egypt
1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
who rely on horses,
who trust in the multitude of their chariots
and in the great strength of their horsemen,
but do not look to the Holy One of Israel,
or seek help from the LORD.

2 Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster;
he does not take back his words.
He will rise up against the house of the wicked,
against those who help evildoers.

3 But the Egyptians are men and not God;
their horses are flesh and not spirit.
When the LORD stretches out his hand,
he who helps will stumble,
he who is helped will fall;
both will perish together.

4 This is what the LORD says to me:
"As a lion growls,
a great lion over his prey—
and though a whole band of shepherds
is called together against him,
he is not frightened by their shouts
or disturbed by their clamor—
so the LORD Almighty will come down
to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights.

5 Like birds hovering overhead,
the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem;
he will shield it and deliver it,
he will 'pass over' it and will rescue it."

6 Return to him you have so greatly revolted against, O Israelites. 7 For in that day every one of you will reject the idols of silver and gold your sinful hands have made.

8 "Assyria will fall by a sword that is not of man;
a sword, not of mortals, will devour them.
They will flee before the sword
and their young men will be put to forced labor.

9 Their stronghold will fall because of terror;
at sight of the battle standard their commanders will panic,"
declares the LORD,
whose fire is in Zion,
whose furnace is in Jerusalem.

TAKE NO THOUGHT "TNT"

Matthew 6:25-34 (King James Version)

25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Why Me Lord?

What is it that you see in me Lord...Why Me

Could it be my sinful nature that makes you love me the way you do....

The way I seek forgiveness just to turn & do the same things again....

Is it the way I gossip about my fellow brother/sister that makes you love me the way you do....

Is my unforgiving/ bitter ways the reason why I'm so special to you...

My Lack of Faith, the way I look at the situation instead of you...

The Way I scheme from time to time just to get a little extra here or there....Why Me Lord?

I know I'm far from perfect yet you chose to open my eyes this morning, breath air into my lungs, gave me the strength and muscle

Control to stand up and get ready for the day! I look around and you have blessed me in ways beyond measure.

I look up and there is a roof over my head, you've clothed me father, & provided my transportation. I just want to say thank you but still I can't help but ask, WHY ME LORD?

John 15:13-15 (NLT)
13
There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn't confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.

Thank you father for sending your only begotten son to die for my sins, Thank you father for being a kind and mercifully father, one of compassion and grace, A father of second chance. I thank you for seeing past my faults father. I thank you for not judging me the way I judge others, for not holding me to my past thoughts actions or deeds as I have done to my fellow brothern. I thank you for when I am lacking in faith and it seems that I have lost sight that you show me that you love me & you will never forsake me. I thank you for the blood that was shed to cover all of my sins. The same blood that has granted me eternal life, I thank you for the victory and most of all I just thank you for choosing me.

CONFUSION IN THE MIND:
>Clutter and garbage left behind will create a stinkpot of confusion in your mind.
> The mind is not the place to store old memories of past experiences.
> Old memories of the past in the mind that create clutter are a result of meditation on the old memories.
> Your mind is for the present and new information of your covenant rights, privileges, promises and responsibilities because of your position in Christ. (Eph.1:3-6)
> Remove the clutter and the garbage--REMOVE THE  CONFUSION.
> Your mind is not the garbage dump for the devils trash. If you allow him to dump it, it will spill over into your emotions.
> When your mind and emotions get cluttered with dead garbage, the "CANCER" of confusion, worry, doubt and fear begin to spread. (1Co.5:6,7;Gal.5:9)
> THE CANCER OF CONFUSION IS JUST LIKE CANCER IN THE BODY; IT CAN BEGIN SPREADING LITTLE AT A TIME AND YOU WILL NOT KNOW IT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE.
> Catch it now and kill it off by changing what you feed on and remove the clutter. The clutter and garbage are what you allow. That means you can stop both of them.
> Remove the confusion by not giving the author of confusion anything to feed on.
 > MAKE ROOM FOR THE PEACE OF GOD TO REST IN YOUR MIND AND HEART WITH ORDERLY THINKING.(Isa.26:3;Prov.20:27;Phil.4:6)
Heb.9:14;2Co.4:16-18;Rms.12:2;2Co.10:5,7;2Co.11:3 Make it a great day. Much love.

SOng of The Day

Psalm 34:3-10 (New International Version)

3 Glorify the LORD with me;
let us exalt his name together.

4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.

5 Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.

6 This poor man called, and the LORD heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers them.

8 Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

9 Fear the LORD, you his saints,
for those who fear him lack nothing.

10 The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

Do You Love Me More Than This? “ Don’t Eat to Feast, But Eat to Feed”

John 21:15-17 (English Standard Version)

Jesus and Peter

 15When they had(A) finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, (B) "Simon,(C) son of John,(D) do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed(E) my lambs." 16He said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, (F) "Tend(G) my sheep." 17He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved because he said to him(H) the third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord,(I) you know everything; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed(J) my sheep.

I was watching the discovery channel & they had a segment about birds and how they tend to their young. It amazed me how the mother bird goes out to eat and bring it back for her young to feed off of what she has digested. As gross as it may appear I think it is rather clever. Since the young can't go out and hunt or fend for themselves due to lack of knowledge & skill the mother eats and returns with what she has taken in but not fully digested & that's what they feed off of until they are old enough & strong enough to go out to do this for themselves.

Just as Jesus asked Peter in the scripture "Do you Love Me More than This"

Are we eating to be filled or to fill others?

On Sunday when you enter the sanctuary are you coming so burdened and beat down that you are only seeking to receive the word for your own personal gain? Are you forgetting the ones sick and shut-in, the ones that lack knowledge and understanding, the ones to weak to go out and eat on their own? Just as the Bird provides for the young as Christians so should we. When you come and get that life changing word on Sunday or at Bible Study Mid-Week don't just keep it to yourself, regurgitate it so that others may feed off of it. Let that Co-Worker, family member, or friend know how good God is and how he is working in your life.

Take out the Garbage

Bind the strong man “take out the Garbage”

Matt 12:22-29

Mark 11:25-26

Matthew 12:43-45

Hebrews 12:14

Ephesians 4:22-32

Leviticus 20:6-7

2 Corinthians 6:14-17

The bible says that the devil is the lord of the flies; take out your garbage because garbage attracts flies!!!!!!

Things to get rid of:

Stinky attitudes====no garbage no flies

Rebellion, stubbornness, hardheadedness, being un-submissive disobedient all are types of Garbage in our lives=no garbage no flies

Strife, bickering, auguring, conflict, bitterness, un-forgiveness, & Repetitive sin are all forms of trash we keep in our lives that has us bound and attract flies which are spirits that cause confusion disease and discomfort.

People we talk to, conversations we have, thoughts that we entertain in our mind attract flies! Stop shoeing the flies away but clean house and take out the garbage. Stop setting the trash on the back porch making excuses about why it has not been taking out. Shows we watch on TV, Songs and Lyrics we take in attract Flies!

When a fly is in the house it does not care who’s plate it gets on. So even if you are the one that leaves the door open for a fly to get in, who’s to say it won’t attack your love ones “spouse, children, or anyone else” Think about that!!! Your sin attracting demons to attack others in your HOME!

CLEAN HOUSE,CLEAN Your HEART,& TAKE OUT THE TRASH!

Stop waiting on God to take it out for you, you have the power to do it yourself.

Scripture for today---Isaiah 40:31

Fred Hammond & John P Kee

Fresh Fire Anointing " Pastor G.E. Loveless"

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

This Fresh Fire Anointing will transform your life if your embrace it. It is a spiritual impartation born out of an intentional relationship with the Holy Spirit that ignites or reignites a passion for God. Fresh Fire replenishes the power of God in us to be an effective witness.

If you lack passion for the things of God, weariness to the point of giving up and fainting, loss of Kingdom interest.

You need this refreshing – re-empowering and refocusing on our mission.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

· If you see yourself wavering and being attracted to things that are outside the plan of God, YOU NEED FRESH FIRE ANOINTING
· If you realize that you have strayed away from holiness and sense you are trapped in sinful behavior that you cannot seem to break free. YOU NEED FRESH FIRE ANOINTING
· If you can’t explain your desire to stay away from the house of God and God’s children and are feeing unwarranted resentment for the things of God, YOU NEED FRESH FIRE ANOINTING
· If you see your prayer life suffering and you go days without praying, YOU NEED FRESH FIRE ANOINTING
· If our church become stagnant, with no growth, no souls saved, empty altars, slothful members, and no spiritual life, WE NEED FRESH FIRE ANOINTING

Psalm 40

Psalm 40

For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.
1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.

2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.

4 Blessed is the man
who makes the LORD his trust,
who does not look to the proud,
to those who turn aside to false gods. [a]

5 Many, O LORD my God,
are the wonders you have done.
The things you planned for us
no one can recount to you;
were I to speak and tell of them,
they would be too many to declare.

6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but my ears you have pierced [b] , [c] ;
burnt offerings and sin offerings
you did not require.

7 Then I said, "Here I am, I have come—
it is written about me in the scroll. [d]

8 I desire to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart."

9 I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly;
I do not seal my lips,
as you know, O LORD.

10 I do not hide your righteousness in my heart;
I speak of your faithfulness and salvation.
I do not conceal your love and your truth
from the great assembly.

11 Do not withhold your mercy from me, O LORD;
may your love and your truth always protect me.

12 For troubles without number surround me;
my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see.
They are more than the hairs of my head,
and my heart fails within me.

13 Be pleased, O LORD, to save me;
O LORD, come quickly to help me.

14 May all who seek to take my life
be put to shame and confusion;
may all who desire my ruin
be turned back in disgrace.

15 May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!"
be appalled at their own shame.

16 But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who love your salvation always say,
"The LORD be exalted!"

17 Yet I am poor and needy;
may the Lord think of me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
O my God, do not delay.

Shut Up & Ride!!!!!

J. Jones 1-18-2010

I RECALL RIDING IN THE CAR WITH MY MOM AS A CHILD, I WAS LIKE A GPS OR A MINI VERSION OF MAPQUEST AT 5YRS OLD. I KNEW HOW TO GET TO EVERY DESTINATION MY MOM WENT TO. If she said we were going to Wal-mart, I knew the way TO GO, if it was to visit my sister in college I knew the way, but every once and awhile mom would take a different route or try a new way to get us to where we was going. I would look & ride for a while but if we got to off course or to deep in unfamiliar territory I would lean in between the driver and passenger seat from the back and say ‘momma where we going, this not the way we usually go & mom would say ‘Boy shut up & ride, I know where I’m going’. As much as I tired to shut up and ride I just did not like to be lead into unfamiliar places so I would have to ask again. Not that mom didn’t know her way around, but even as a child I just had to be in the know and in control of things that I really had no control over.
Think back on your life when you had to ride or depend on someone to get you to a place, & because they had control of the wheel all you could do is trust and wait for them to get you there.
Some of us if not most, are dealing with that now. The difference is, instead of a friend or neighbour getting you there its God behind the wheel.
"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper, not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. " Jeremiah 29:11
Looking back on my childhood and where I’m at today I have to check myself time to time, Because it’s not my mother telling me but the Lord almighty saying Shut-up & ride. WE are so use to doing things our way and handling things on our own accord that we find it hard having faith to just sit still and let the Lord lead us. If it’s not the way we know we worry, if we don’t get there as fast as we would like we start to lack faith and doubt.

Psalm 37:34
34 Wait passionately for GOD,
don't leave the path.
He'll give you your place in the sun
while you watch the wicked lose it.
As my Father in the faith says “We live in a microwave society and we want everything instantly” Sometimes it’s just better to wait and not rush the promise or the plans of the Lord. One thing to keep in mind is.. If HE promised it-It shall surely be fulfilled. Our time is not the Lords just as our ways are not his.
Through staying on the path and abiding with the Lord, your path illuminates by itself: The path may look dark ahead, but it’s okay. As you take the next step (by faith), the path starts to illuminate a little further down the road. You know the direction to travel; and your steps are ordered of the Lord. The Bible states in Proverbs 4:18, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” You see, God wants you to walk by faith - to trust Him; so the future may look dark and you don’t know how you are going to get to that divine destination, but it’s okay: Trust God, take the next step that you know; stay close to God (abide) through the Word of God, prayer and praise. The path lights up as you travel along it; and it shines brighter and brighter - You are walking according to God’s plan and purpose, and that can only lead to a good end!

Less filling but taste great!!!!!!

Psalms 34:10 The Lions Grow Weak & hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
How many of us are familiar with not only that phrase from the old beer commercials but can actually relate to what it is saying. Think about it for a sec….. "less filling but taste great". How often does our flesh hunger or thirst for something that looks good or even taste good only to be displeased,unsatisfied and hungry or thirsty a short while after because it was more appealing than fulfilling! Often times the temptations of the world we are surrounded with are what causes our down fall. Like momma use to say, “Everything good to you is not good for you” We never give God the satisfaction of satisfying. We sit aside the time that needs to be spent studying the word and getting to know God to watch TV,surf the net & play video games along with all types of other activities for that right now feeling never knowing that his word is not only good for your mind, feeds your spirit but also saves your soul. It gives A feeling like nothing this world could every offer! Give it a try. We not only have access but permission to drink from a living well that shall never run dry unlike the soda,coffee or beer which is a temporary thirst quencher for your body.
It's time to look beyond what we see people GOD, stop filling yourself with snacks and sips, It’s really time to eat & drink like big boys and girls. Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever." Stop looking for a quick fix or right now feeling but really look at what our GOD has done for us, from then until NOW! He has promised us ETERNAL Life!
Ponder on the word eternal” having infinite duration” and compare weather that thing that brings us joy on earth can compare to Eternal Life, Eternal Salvation, Eternal Peace, Eternal Joy,& Eternal Fellowship with Christ the King, or do you just wanna settle for what feels good right now at the moment? John 1 2:15
Love not the World, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in Him.

Flesh & the Ivory plant :

My wife has an Ivory plant that she has been having for years & what’s amazing to me is I have watched this plant die & come back to life dozens of times over the course of years. I watch as all the leaves wilt away and the plant looses life from time to time and just as it die’s I watch it come back to life with a little attention/water& shade. Now I compared the Plant to our flesh for the simple fact that when our flesh dies we love to water it just a little bit and bring it back to life. Instead of a daily resurrection of or flesh we should be slain in the spirit daily, sacrificing pleasure’s of sin placing our world joys on the alter at God’s feet .

Pleasure of Sin: Hebrews 11:25 (New International Version)
25He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.
Question: How often do you sacrifice what others might say or what you might miss out on to follow Christ and be obedient to his commandments?
Why is it that all the things we enjoy most in life seems to be of a sin or will lead to us sinning? Why is it so Hard for us to kill our flesh, which must be done on a daily basis. Just as we get up on a daily and wash our face & brush our teeth we should ask God daily to help us resist the temptations of this world & to help us crucify or flesh. Just as the ivory plant which dies and we want to bring it back for the joy that plants give we must do the opposite & ask for the death of our flesh because the joy we get from living in sin will only lead to death.
Romans 6:23 (King James Version):
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Do this daily:
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

We really don’t understand that it is not a physical fight that we face but a spiritual fight that is taking place all around us daily. Who’s side are you on? I say that to say this. We pray & ask GOD to remove what is wrong from our life & as this is taking place we at times don’t do what it takes to resist pleasures of life. We have just prayed for a release of whatever the sin may be from our life but then welcome another sin into our life to take its place or sometimes the same thing we are praying to get rid of!!!!

We should not take light the promise of God. Anything done in sin will surly die because of the sin. Repent & turn away from the things we call guilty pleasures. The enemy has deceived us long enough. Pick your cross up strap it to your back and march. Don’t look back! When the flesh is wilting away don’t water it don’t feed it. Watch what you take in on the radio, what you look at on TV the conversations you have on the phone or at work, watch the company you keep for all these things contributing factors to how we face the adversities of sin and the lust for sin. Don’t be like the ivory plant! WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE THRU CHRIST JESUS the KING of KINGS & Lord of LORDs.....

Naughty or Nice

12-8-2009
I was talking with a co-worker today and we touched on the subject of anger doubt and disbelief. I was saying come on now, with it being the Holiday season you don’t want to let these spirits rest rule & abide within your life/home. Not just this season but period. As we spoke and I began to minister I jokingly made the comparison of Satan to Santa Clause. As I spoke those words it hit me that it was not only true but spirit lead. I said that just as the world says Santa likes to slide down the chimney or through a cracked window/door, so does Satan. His sack is not filled with glee and toys for the girls & boys but pain, suffering, anger, lust, fornication, bad health, broken marriages, broken homes, stress, and trouble at work & school. You name it he has it. “Whenever you see loss, death, and destruction you know that the enemy is at work.”
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
Milk & Cookies
Just like in the books and on TV, the parents lure Santa with cookies and milk to welcome him in. You have to ask your self are you setting out snacks for the enemy to stop by and visit your domain or work place. Ephesians 6:12 “principalities, ... powers, ... rulers of the darkness of this world, … spiritual wickedness (or wicked spirits) in high places.
EXAMPLES: First: opening a spiritual door that allows the evil spirit to come in. –Watch what you are involved in! You activities can easily open the door your home for spiritual ware far-SMOKING, DRUG Abuse, Porn, Drinking things of this nature.
Second: someone with a bad spirit carried the demon into the house. They came into the house and brought the spirit with them.— Be mindful of those that enter your home. You can be under attack from the enemy just by association
Third: Satan has set an assignment against the house. You can by sin or a certain lifestyle allow an opening for the enemy to come into your house. It seems at times that the more we try to do right in the Lord the more things seem to go wrong. We have to look at the bigger picture and see it as a spiritual war and take a stand! Pray over your children your home your vehicle even your job & friendships “PRAY over Everything”

As we pray over our home and families we began to seal off the entrance for Satan. Now as the prayers are going up its like smoke up the chimney, so now the enemy cannot slide down that way, and we began to pray over the doors and windows and rooms just praying the blood over your entire dwelling, which belongs to you and not him. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalte itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

Be mindful of the tricks and devices of the enemy. Stay in prayer knowing that noting not of joy and peace is not of CHRIST THE KING!!!

Spirit & Truth:

Notice the Verse says MUST which means “be commanded, be urged to : ought by all means, be required by law, be unreasonably or perversely compelled to, be compelled by fate or by natural law to.
James 4:6-10 (New International Version)
6But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
"God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble."[a]
7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

By yielding to the governance & authority of God we are therefore submitting to his will.
For we cannot serve 2 God’s, it is impossible, just as being double minded. One will defiantly out weigh the other. God’s will or the way of the world?
"Set your mind on things above, and not on things on the earth." Colossians 3:2
Do not be lead by things of the flesh but allow GOD to enter in & take his rightful place. Allow him to dwell in you so that you may be purified in his righteousness riding yourself of all ungodly things. So when you speak you will only speak the WORD which is true, & when things of this world come against us we are wise to the tricks of the enemy so we only see the Truth which is the promises of GOD.
"We Walk By Faith, Not By Sight"
2 Corinthians 5:7
As we come before God to worship him who is worth of all praise, be prepared to Worship him with all that you have. Keep in mind that we honor and worship our God who gave everything for our salvation. Just as we prepare for work does not our God deserve the same amount of respect if not more than our boss at work? Condition yourself to enter in his presence so that he as your undivided attention. Don’t just come before the presence of a KING any kind of way! "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and all your mind." Matthew 22:37
John 14:21, "He who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me." Being obedient to the commandments of God and not going against his will demonstrates Obedience and also Sacrifice. We must give God our very best which is required. By doing so we can hear him “clearly” understanding the plan and purpose he has for us."And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Romans 12:2 Then and Only then can we worship him I spirit & in truth

You Are What you…..

Deacon J Jones 10-18-2009

EVER HEARD THE SAYING, "Der Mensch ist, was er ißt."

That translates into English as 'man is what he eats'. Aka You are what you eat…

I could go on a whole spill about that but tonight I want to speak on “You are what you hear, But do you Hear what you Are?

In this world we have so many things twisting our minds on a daily basis that we never take notice of. Without notice how can there be correction! Just think about it, how do you start your day off? Most of us have jobs and kids, and so early in the morning we wake up throw our clothes on grab the kids and hit the door. Once we hop in the car and cut the radio on it’s either our favourite r&b cd or Rap artist or maybe just a favourite radio station. Most of us do not realize that this is a problem. I know for me I would drop the kids off and soon as they were out the car I was blasting my fav rap artist filling my mind with harsh language, killing, drug selling, & boasting about money and jewels.

For the R&B listeners they have some nice artist out there but for the most part you are hearing about pre-marital sex, cheating or being cheated on & issues in relationships that don’t pertain to what God’s will Is for you and your relationship. We take all of this in and fail to realize that is a ploy of the enemy to control our minds and knock us off of our mark. THINK ABOUT IT!!!! You arrive at work full of rap music “ME” and as soon as someone says something I don’t like the attitude kicks in “Harsh Language” or the feeling of man this don’t pay me enough I could be out hustling or making it happen ”Drug dealing & boasting about money & Jewels”

R&b listeners. Those same lyrics you just took in cause you to get to work & lust after one that isn’t yours, ”Cheating” have wicked sexual thoughts ”Pre Martial Sex” and even put strain on your marriage/relationship fuelled by lyrics that you don’t even understand you find yourself relating to. TV is another issue…What do you watch or allow your family to take in? Those same spirits that we laugh at on TV about dysfunctional families & the world tells us it’s just comedy, is the same comedy that is destroying our homes, teaching our kids the opposite of what the word says and causing us to lose control over our families & our souls.

Since the beginning of time Satin has found ways to deceive us and make us think that the very thing that is SOMETHING is merely NOTHING. Don’t be fooled People of GOD. Be aware Be cautious Be on Guard But most of all Be STEADFAST in the WORD!!!! In the morning instead of putting on Young Jeezy, Mary J or that morning show Put on the Whole armour of GOD! Eph. 6:10-11 “Put on the full armour of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil ”Listening to the Word of God so that we may be doers of the WORD. Stay in the word so when trials come we can pull from it instead of looking for it. Look to the Word for refuge not the World.
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." -1st John 2:15,16
Take in the Word of God so that you may speak the word of GOD. Let it dwell in you and you in it. Take a good look at yourself or should I say LISTEN. When you speak is it the wisdom and knowledge of our Father or the rubbish and foolishness of the world? Does your mind plot & scheme on ways to get paid or get over on the next person or is it full of joy happiness and obedience. If not this is definitely a wake-up call! Deuteronomy 11:18-22 (New International Version)
18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 20 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, 21 so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land that the LORD swore to give your forefathers, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.
22 If you carefully observe all these commands I am giving you to follow—to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways and to hold fast to him-

STOP SNOOZING!!!!!

1-22-2010

How long will you lie down, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? Proverbs 6:9

SNOOZE:
1. to sleep lightly b : to fall into a light sleep

Are we Snoozing on GOD??
I was thinking about how we have our alarm clock set to wake us up at a specific time so that we will be up and ready for the day. Prepared so to speak, you know have time to eat breakfast, iron maybe or just have time to relax a little before the daily grind. What’s funny is that we also seem to think we have it down on how many times we can hit snooze and still make it in on time. I mean we have all done it! Maybe I won’t get to relax, eat, or even iron but I can throw something on really fast grab an energy bar and be out the door if need be. I have to admit that I have done this on so many occasions. I would get to work right on-time and have to get straight into my daily duties. The ride heading in is stressful due to my being pressed for time, my body is not at its best due to my snoozing since I have not equipped it with what it really needs to function, not to mention no prayer has taken place do to my laziness and being pressed for time.
This is not about being to work on time or sleeping past the set time on your alarm clock but it is about preparation, awareness, and being attentive to the word of GOD.

Proverbs 20:13 Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake ...
and you will have food to spare. ... If you love sleep, you will end in poverty. ...

1. Snooze: to be in a dull or stupefied condition

Use Christians have defiantly been in a dull stupefied state.
We are not showing an awareness of the spiritual warfare that is surrounding our homes, lives, work, family & friends. Because we are pressing the snooze button on circumstances and lightly sleeping the enemy in setting up shop and causing havoc. By the time we open our eyes to pray or call on God’s name the situation has gotten out of control. We have to be mindful daily and not let the issues of life get us to the point where we are hitting snooze saying later rather than dealing with the issue now.
Proverbs 19:15 Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless ...

Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless man goes hungry. ... Lazy
people sleep soundly, but idleness leaves them hungry. ..

We have to be more aware People of God!!!

Jeremiah 8:7 "Even the stork in the sky Knows her seasons; And the turtledove and the swift and the thrush Observe the time of their migration; But My people do not know The ordinance of the LORD.
Stop the procrastinating…….waiting until the enemy shows himself completely
When God says move, don’t wait until you are left choice less…..Stay in pray so you can be in tune with the Holy Spirit and Hear his voice
Stop waiting until the last minute to lift circumstances up…… do it before hand, It’s called Preparation
